About me
Hi, my name is Craig Johnstone, I’m an anaesthetic trainee based in London, having trained mainly in Mersey. I think the Final FRCA is very do-able. I find that candidates, like me, struggled to find up-to-date & relevant resources difficult to locate and the breadth of knowledge difficult to gauge. I hope this resource goes some way to addressing these factors…..
Thanks for visiting the site! I hope you find it of some use, even in its infancy. I will endeavour to keep it free, relevant and up to date as time allows. A donation to the running of the site is very welcome, with any surplus going to the Lifebox appeal. It is primarily aimed at Final FRCA candidates, but I hope it also makes quite a good viva tool for people looking for viva material. Some of the mind maps are better than others but bear with me. It should also work on a tablet reasonably well. Some primary stuff will appear but due to time constraints it will not be forthcoming any time soon. It really needs some other enthusiastic people on board to provide this…… I would help of course, where I could with publishing etc. Mail me if you think this person might be you!
It generally works by reading the right hand side first, and then the left hand side of the mind map. Anything with a globe on should link to another site or resource.
There’s a small icon in the bottom corner of each mind map screen which when clicked gives a text version of the mind map, which you might find useful if you don’t like mind maps.
Try the command or control button and ‘-‘ or ‘+’ to alter the mind map size
If you have found it of use I ask three things
1
- Please could you visit some of the sites of people who have helped me on the way. There’s some really great resources out there.
2
-
If you have found the resource useful, please e-mail me
- email: feedback@frcamindmaps.org
- Mail me
Link: [mailto: feedback@frcamindmaps.org][1]
-
As it is early days I have no idea if people are finding this useful so PLEASE send me some feedback, updates about broken links or suggestions of anything you would like to see included.
3
- Consider contributing to Lifebox.
The mind maps should be printable by changing the orientation and scale so that it fits - at least on a Mac.
